Classic Jewelry gets a Modern Twist

A shopping trip to the San Mateo Gem Show in 2007 changes the way I thought about jewelry. I'd always love jewelry made with gold, diamonds and pearls, but often wished for an updated, modern look to the classic styles I usually wore. Searching for the right jewelry often proved frustrating as the pieces I found to suite my taste were either too ornate or made with inferior materials.

That trip to the Gem Show inspired me to see a new way of designing jewelry by adding a modern twist to essential classic styles. The array of gems and materials sparked my creative spirit to craft distinctive jewelry with everyday wear-ability...while being affordable, as well!

With my new gems in hand, I worked countless hours on creating perfect pieces. True to my artistic spirit, I sketch each piece to find just the right feel, design and character. letting each element simply fall into place resulted in finished jewelry that etched the begining of Sosie Designs.

A Beautiful Business

Not long after, I displayed my jewelry at a local craft show. Before the day was through, I had sold nearly every piece, with customer often coming back for more than one item! The validation was amazing, and made me realize that there was a need for beautiful jewelry that had everyday appeal, with a price tag they could afford without sacraficing quality.

After 10 years in the financial industry, I left my corporate world to pursue my passion for creating genuine, quality and remarkable jewelry. As a self-taught artist, I can attest to the joy and vitality of doing something that you love...and it shows in every piece I design! From my small studio in San Jose, Califonia, Sosie designs continues to grow and offer beautiful choice for the stunning jewelry you love to wear!
